The Great Tsunami of December, 2004 was the worst natural disaster in recent history. On Thursday, January 13, 2005, 88.3 The Wind and the RTN family of stations began a project to build new homes for displaced families in southern India - The Homes Of Hope Tsunami Relief Effort....

That effort - a 3-hour fundraising campaign to raise $75,000 to build 75 homes - became so much more than any of us ever expected. The hearts of our listeners were moved and by the end of the fundraising time nearly a million dollars was donated to the rebuilding effort.
